i remember how people used to shyt on wayne even during the c3 era...now everybody loves it :sadcam:

Yeah I remember too. That was when he was starting to dip. C3 was cool but singles like Lollipop and shyt were the start of him falling off imo

In retrospect this era in Hip-Hop was actually pretty good...You still had Wayne at his prime. Dipset was still poppin, Lupe had burst on to the scene, Game resurrected the westcoast, Little Brother was dropping underground classics, T.I. became the man and ATL dropped. UGK making a return, Chamillionaire blowing up, Three 6 Mafia won the Oscars, Kanye was still Kayne.

I could go on and on.....:wow: Yeah, there was alot of bullshyt/fukkery coming out but a breh was eating good back then. Today, theres still good music being made but you rarely get that "feeling" nowadays this Wayne track gave me (That soulful warmth feeling). When I listen to Young Thug now and Wayne back then, its almost blasphemous compare the two. Not to take anything away from Thug but I'm certain most of his fans are the age I was when Wayne was still a beast, so I understand. You had to been there to see how incredibly talented this nikka was. Thug has an amazing flow n all that, makes good music but Wayne talent was so much more. nikkas was declaring him the new Pac, Jay Z's replacement, the best rapper alive, etc etc. The hype got outta hand of course, but it was a short period of time when those statements didn't sound crazy. C'mon man
I mean the first time I heard this......nikka! :mindblown:

Everybody lost they minds. If Wayne would had bowed out after No Ceilings, he would've went down as a top 5 GOAT.

Prime Weezy was so good man

Not gonna lie. I used to hate on Weezy back in the day. Couple days ago I downloaded a bunch of his old mixtapes. Ghostwritten or not, the delivery, the energy, the bars were crazy. I can sort of understand why a lot of people say he's top 5 or top 10 in their minds

Good music is good music man :manny:

And even back in the day I always conceded that The carter 2 was a good album.

"Watch a football game and bet it all on one play" :wow:

But yeah, mixtape Weezy is really non-stop bars on bars which I like. And the samples/beats are flames as well
