This year, hip-hop lost legends like DMX and Biz Markie. I know you’ve had some close calls yourself over the years with health issues. What can the industry do to better look after its veteran artists?
I may surprise you with my answer. My answer is “absolutely nothing.” The industry has nothing to do with your life and your productivity. It’s not what the industry should be doing for us. It’s about what we can do for ourselves.

I respect it. :ehh:

Said absolutely nothing except this

I respect it. :ehh:
I don’t know what the industry should do.

Dmx was in rehab like 5 times, locked up, had a football team of kids, family, money and everything. What can a 25 year old square who is an ordinary worker specializing in social media ads do for him that all of those other factors can’t?

What labels can do is stop fukking over people with no real representation. A reputable entertainment lawyer should be provided when they sign their contract. Other than that, dudes are grown men with big egos they are not gonna listen to no damn label. The deal signing aspect is one thing other than that, it’s embarrassing to even suggest that some marketing specialists should try to babysit grown black men.

Wayne is a sheltered weirdo roleplaying as a street gang banger weirdo.

Wayne lives in a millionaire bubble since he's 12. Wayne is no different from a suburban kid on reedit. He just happens to know how to rap.

Wayne is Carlton Banks with a bandana and lean.
