Dozens of albums have influenced me, from personality, to inspiration, other aspects of my self, but these would be some off the top of my head, that really shaped who I am as a fan, as well as a person. When you listen to rap at at a young age, it definitley influences your world view, your perspective, your values...Listening to 'Cheat On You' 'What You Want', Jealous Guy' (Mase) 'Can I Get A', 'Sunshine', and all the Bad Boy player shyt was (one part) how I learned game and relationships, how I defined them....Listening to 'A Week Ago' helped mold my perspectives on loyalty and dishonor, the condemnation of snitches and the disloyal....Tracks like 'I'll Be Missing You' & 'I Miss My Homies' showed me tragedy and grief, not HOW to grieve but the impact, raw street shyt from 'Coming Of Age' and 'The Reason' def. influenced how I thought about conflict and violence, not that it created me, but it pushed behavior I had already developed....Songs like 'Lucky Me' show the pressure of the life, songs like 'You Must Love Me' showed the baring of one soul after life in the street, Shyne showed the unforgiving nihlistic side of the streets, Mega showed the balance of good & evil in a person....It Was Written just embodies me, from the introspection, the storytelling, the street poet, the dreamer....
