Why does it even matter tho?
They aint hurting nobody
he got a decent following, lets see if he would book for $700except they are.. cause if they have 150k followers but only 20k are real but are charging promoters $500 to book them and the promoters are expecting 50-60 people to show up based on their popularity but only 3 people show up, its a huge loss for the club or promoters..
everything in life effects something or someone bruh
the fact some of yall defending this , is the exact reason why they do it in the 1st place "its not a big deal" then why does it need to be done ??
we dont even gotta use models as an example
@C-Styles got like 5k instagram followers or some shyt but only 150-200 of them are real. If you were booking an artist for say $1000 range, and saw his page and be likehe got a decent following, lets see if he would book for $700
its fukking the club and promoter up because itll be a complete waste of $700

I feel were you're coming from but if you are a promoter DUMB ENOUGH to book people based off Instagram followers you deserve to lose that money. I've been helping my homies promote events in Raleigh/Durham since 2004 and the promotion game now is fukkED UP!
what else do we have to go off for popularity
You can buy followers? What's the point?

Time to sell my services to insta-bytches. $700 gets you 10k "followers", a botnet spamming accounts for shout-outs, and a dine-and-dash at the finest restaurant.
UUhhhhhhhhhhhhh....how about record sales, how about movie revenue, how about appearances on TV/Movies/Records. The shyt we may have seen or heard before. But now a bytch throws a couch pillow in her panties and slathers on 2 lbs of makeup and hair weave and we are supposed to treat her like a celebrity for being famous.

After she hit 1.4million followers, every blog and quite a few major internet media companies covered her and how she got there. It helped her get endorsements with Nike and other
shyt. She now has over 5 million followers, breh. For posting butt pictures for a bit over a year, she is now clocking money just for being pretty and poking her butt out.
There is a market for faking followers, as companies believe they can use you to advertise to them. A lot of those chicks get sent free stuff from companies just to
plug them on their pages. The rabbit hole is deep.
It is a simple hustle in this day and age. If you have followers, companies will throw product. Hell, check craigstlist for listings for jobs at bars and clubs. Some of those job postings, especially for promoters, ask you have social media with a sizeable following as a job requirement! It is nuts out here.Thanks. Didnt know.
