I was a junior in high school and I remember buying mets gear and wearing it almost everyday leading up to that world series.

Then those b*stard yankees killed us

Sidenote: I remember being pissed off that Monday because we lost game 1 and 2 and then watching the jets play the Dolphins on Monday night and turning off the TV because we were losing so bad. Well the next morning as I got ready for school I learned that I missed the greatest come back in nfl history, the Monday night miracle
