Lol @ him actually screwing over his son with this. If he took all that money he's giving up, even if he doesn't need it, put it into some mutual fund that his son doesn't have access to for 20 years. The kid would be in a real good spot in life when he finally does get it

White Privilege? SMH, leave it to this site to always bring race in a spot it has no place in. So annoying.

Anyways, I can see both sides of this, but Rosenthal talked to an agent that makes a good point:

When the Front Office is dictating what's going on in the clubhouse, that's not necessarily a good thing. Whatever the case, dude is basically done, and he's walking away from $13m. Of course if he had hit 280/350/550 and 25 HRs last year, this wouldn't be an issue.

Well players don't own the team :manny:

id imagine if they took a players poll, the vast majority would say get your kid the fukk outta here on a literal daily basis. traveling with the team and shyt is way overboard. i couldnt imagine going like 0-16 in a series, trying to focus and get shyt corrected, and having some annoying 13 year old running around the clubhouse, the plane and the hotel

Ken Williams is taking one for the team. He looks bad in the public's eye, but you know multiple players/coaches have come up to him regarding the issue. He's not gonna throw the whole clubhouse under the bus with the actual truth.

A life lesson, like losing $13 million because you wanted your kid in the clubhouse for four hours every day instead of three?:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:.

We have elite players such as Barry Sanders and Megatron retiring early because of health and their awful franchises, and then you have this dumbass that is retiring and giving up $13mil because he can only see his kid 20/7 instead of 24/7?:scust:.

dude made PLENTY of cash in his career...probably more than Barry ever did due to NFL in the 90s not paying nearly what MLB in the 2010's pays :yeshrug:

We're not big on school????

It's actually a worse L than that...He's retiring cuz the GM told him he can't being his kid everyday..he's retiring and not taking the money out of spite and making himself look incredibly stupid and entitled...

Can you imagine being a grown man and having a 14 year old kid who isn't yours around you everyday at your job :grippingafrancis:

I just got annoyed as fukk thinking about it :grippingafrancis:

Laroche should go down to Boston so his son can watch Sandoval hit up some IG thots on his phone in the 3rd inning...since he all about life lessons :pleboithinking:
