Because his wife was killed in Oklahoma - if he wasn't fired (which is what this thread is about - Monty being unfairly dismissed), he and his family would still be in New Orleans as he would still be the head coach of the Pelicans, and not the assistant of the Thunder. I'm not blaming anybody or saying the move was the result of her death. I'm just saying the chain of events - getting fired by the Pelicans, moving to Oklahoma, wife killed in car crash - wouldn't have happened if he and his family were still in the NO.

How pathetic I even need to explain that.
