I believe that there should be a week or 2 hiatus between the regular season and the playoffs, and during that hiatus they should do this award show.

The hiatus between the regular season and the playoffs makes sense too because players that are banged up also can get a chance to recover a bit and it should overall improve the quality of the playoffs

nba doing too much trying to stretch this shyt out, they got 2-3 days between playoff games and shyt which means you got 2+ months of postseason, put this on during the offs man. damn near 3 months after the regular season ends they wanna announce awards?

I doubt they schedule announcing the awards this late again. Imagine if the eventual MVP were to have gotten traded during this offseason period before the awards show
They have enough of a break period after the conference finals and before the NBA Finals to schedule a ceremony to announce the awards.

The award show should be 2 days or so before the playoffs begin if you want to capitalize with an award show.

This is stupid and hope they address it next year. Free Agency should begin before the draft as well.
