According to Jonny Liberman, the report is bullshyt. I'd have to agree with him. Chevy won't pull out of this market.
They do need to rethink the car's packaging though.
It's by far the best performance car out of the American muscle group and my pick out of the bunch but that doesn't necessarily bring customers.

They really need a full GT 2 seater based off the vette. like another XLR or chevelle
