I feel you. I think Wayne next album doing 200k, Drake could muster 300k with a decent single and rollout but even still, that's a farcry from their previous projects. Drake even said on Versace he was looking at 1m first week for NWTS and that shyt pulled in at 640k. Very very interesting to see what Kendrick's numbers are looking like. Billboard projected 500k but I don't think it's gonna be anything near that. Is that 'i' shyt even catching at radio yet?

i think that's pretty good considering the pushbacks. but her album needs to have legs to be successful, and it seems like none her other singles outside of anaconda are doing anything to give it the long-term push...maybe that beyonce feature will help her

What does it even matter? Anaconda ALL over the radio. Cole got no singles from his album on the radio and doing like 300k first week. More than Nicki.

Kendrick got a really strong and supportive fanbase

A hot single doesn't mean your album gonna do great numbers. The shift is coming where artist aren't even gonna need a hot single to sell albums. They just gotta continue delivering to their fanbase. Which is exactly what Cole is proving.

Diehard supportive fanbase will always triumph > a single that's getting tons of radio play.
