D'Angelo won. How many artists who was popping in 2000 could drop right now and do 100,000 the first week
"Is that 'i' shyt even catching at radio yet?"
What does it even matter? Anaconda ALL over the radio. Cole got no singles from his album on the radio and doing like 300k first week. More than Nicki.
Kendrick got a really strong and supportive fanbase
A hot single doesn't mean your album gonna do great numbers. The shift is coming where artist aren't even gonna need a hot single to sell albums. They just gotta continue delivering to their fanbase. Which is exactly what Cole is proving.
Diehard supportive fanbase will always triumph > a single that's getting tons of radio play.

first week? Maybe not.Drake ain't going gold first week next album cycle.
YMCMB outside of Drake is over. Cole and Kendrick officially run this era now.

Say that to all the strippers in ATL and Houston.

nobody in chicago bump j cole or kendrick
thats too soft for our taste

Last album did 250K first week.
So the fall off will be even more prolongued and ungraceful

she probably has more marketing and promotion than any rapper out there seriously, even more than an Eminem.
Only she is getting promos with Today, GMA, Ellen, ESPN, BET, MTV, Perez Hilton, hosting MTV awards etc. etc.
She has singles with pop stars where the song is played all day on pop stations and songs with rappers played all day on rap stations all day.
and again she releases a garbage album which is a flop. 2 times in a row. In about 6 months time, there will be a Pinkprint Reloaded...just wait for it..
Does anyone in chicago bump common, Kanye, chance and Lupe or do y'all only like that hateful, destructive, poison music these days?
rappers pushin 40 aint really our thing either folk
