was gonna ship Brady ass off if Kraft didnt intervene. That man became a free agent at the right time and showed enough potential to get paid. Who gives a shyt if the contract is front loaded and they can get out after 2 years if he busts. My point is Brissett doesn't deserve a mega deal just like Garropolo doesn't. QB's do well in Shanny's offenses. You can watch the games and see dudes wide open. Just like the SB. Brian Hoyer didn’t do well in his offense and it took Matt Ryan a year to really grasp his offense. The only choice the niners had was franchise tag him and hope he doesn’t ball out and then trying to sign him or watch him ball out and have to pay him more than cousins, brees, and Rodgers which would be the worst case scenario. The franchise tag this summer for qbs is 26 mil he is getting 27.5 next year and he is going to be worth it. Jimmy G is a franchise qb a legitimate franchise qb we haven’t had one since Young. Yes, I am saying Alex and Colin are not franchise qbs.

aside from corny ass 'franchise qb' term that I hate, Jimmy G hasnt even matched anything Alex has done for this franchise, let alone Kaep or Garcia
the deal is based on potential and small sample size. its an ok deal for us because its not a lot of risk there. but lets talk about Jimmy G matching those guys post-Young when he actually matches anything those guys have done.
