Because many of the leagues are postponing instead of canceling games, fans can't get a refund on tickets even if the tickets are for games that should have happened already. Instead most leagues are continuing to say that the games are "Postponed" until a later date. Even if the games are canceled, leagues are choosing to credit the fans for tickets to alternative games.

I can understand it because the leagues are going to be missing out on TV money if they can't reschedule the games.

"Follow the money" is just as relevant as it ever was.

What are your thoughts?

it's a special circumstance, enough people complain and they will give out refunds. imagine buying tickets to euro 2020 or olympics and getting shafted ? yeah people will be mad, shyt aint cheap.
As long as they postpone it, these organizations will keep the money, and have no problems doing so. smh

Other season-ticket holders bristled when their accounts were charged as normal by teams that collect money from them on payment plans, including this month by the Cleveland Indians.

“Our season-ticket holders who are on a payment plan had their March payment processed because Major League Baseball is currently still planning to play a full season of games,” team spokesman Bart Swain wrote in an e-mail. “We will not be charging any additional payments unless MLB provides guidance at that time that we plan to play a full season of games. As soon as we learn a game is cancelled and not rescheduled by MLB, we will offer fan-friendly value options to season-ticket holders to either exchange cancelled games or receive a refund.”

I get that these are tough times for these businesses, but they really ain’t shyt for this.

Always I never knew the players had a "Natural Disaster/ Pandemic" clause. that just allows there salaries to stop. and some of the money even gets recouped.

Yeah once the economy stops working then it effects everybody. Those at the top just happen to be less affected, however when you budget have that money coming in and it's cut off then, it doesn't matter how much money was coming in, because you spent what you had and the money has just been dried up.
