I think that you mean that you get a watered down version of every culture in NYC. Anybody that traveled, knows that food from its native country > food in NYC. For example, going to Montego Bay, Jamaica is much better than Jamaican food on 241st in the Bronx.

NYC is perfect for those who can't afford to travel overseas, and the broke man's way of justifying, or making excuses, not to travel God's green earth. And this is coming from someone that been on 4 continents.

Traveling abroad to see culture at its origin is much better than seeing a watered Down version of them in NYC.

Quality of living, unless you rich, you can't say NYC is the best. It's much dirtier than most cities in the US, you have much less disposable income than most states, and even the air you breathe ain't good for you. Trust me, for a person that travels a lot, I can say that it is true.

Seek and ye shall find and I know where the spots are when it comes to dining wether its French (Le Bernadine, The Buvette, Baltazzar) Italian (Al Li Da, Morini's) Soul Food (Silvias is so cliche and mainstream, Amy Ruths is the real deal. Red Rooster is iight, and I keep hearing about Peaches in Brooklyn )

But as for Jamacian food again..seek and ye shall find.


Feeding Tree by yankee stadium is one of the best Hole In The Wall close to home cooking Jamacian resturants ever.


Negril Village is great for adult because they have an open bar , stage performances while you eat and dancing.



The Island Resturant in Brooklyn and Fredas are also top notch

..It is a lot of racist Cacs out here no denying that..But I enjoy living in Suffolk..I don't pay these Cacs no mind..And Nassau is similar to the city.. All I will say is to travel overseas and eat from the source. Even the best tasting food in NYC is status to the people that travel often and to people that came from said country.

If you refuse to go overseas, then I can't help expand your vision.
