no not true at all
seahawks didnt make the offs just two years ago yet they were dominant in 2013 and won it all

in last 6 years there have been SIX different nfc teams to make the superbowl (cardinals, saints, packers, giants, 49ers, seahawks)
in last 6 years there have been ELEVEN different teams in the superbowl.

dont shrink the pool size to try to make the point...cause the seahwaks made the playoffs 3 years ago...and kept most of that team....they've been building the foudation for a min there...also, let's look at those 11 different teams the last 6 years:

seahawks, broncos, pats, giants, packers, steelers, 49ers, saints, colts, ravens, and cards....out of those 11, only 1 of those teams hasnt been in the playoff pic year in & out for the last 6 years, and that's the cards...so where's the parity?...

also, you're taking what i'm saying wrong...me saying there isnt parity doesnt mean there is gonna be repeat winners every year...but most of the playoff field is usually the same teams, with a couple new ones sprinkled in...that doesnt mean there is parity...

Yeah you're right but my point was only that they weren't a top team and still won it. It can be done. shyt, the 49ers and Seahawks were bottom of the barrel teams a few years back but they reloaded in the drafts and only a few years later they are top of the class.

sea made the playoffs 3 years ago and have been building that foundation for a min....the same goes for the 49ers...they had talent and werent bottom of the barrell, they just didnt make the offs...

dont shrink the pool size to try to make the point...
shrink the pool size ? the fukk are you talking about ? fine, lets take last 5 years, point still holds.

cause the seahwaks made the playoffs 3 years ago...and kept most of that team....
they made the playoffs while being 7-9 if you dont recall
and lol, again your claim that they kept 'most of that team' is actually extremely false

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Seattle_Seahawks_season#Final_roster

only TEN of 53 players (lynch, robinson, okung, mebane, clemons, thomas, trufant, thurmond, chancellor, golden tate) were on the team that won the SB. MOST of that team ? :mjlol: and 4 of them were rookies
again, for you to make that statement clearly shows you dont follow football much

also, let's look at those 11 different teams the last 6 years:

seahawks, broncos, pats, giants, packers, steelers, 49ers, saints, colts, ravens, and cards....out of those 11, only 1 of those teams hasnt been in the playoff pic year in & out for the last 6 years, and that's the cards...so where's the parity?...
each team you mentioned has missed playoffs AT LEAST once. parity is not random teams being there every year. parity is franchises going from shytty to playoffs. 49ers, seahawks, broncos all qualify.

also, you're taking what i'm saying wrong...me saying there isnt parity doesnt mean there is gonna be repeat winners every year...but most of the playoff field is usually the same teams, with a couple new ones sprinkled in...that doesnt mean there is parity...
and again, you're wrong. you tell me the shyttiest nfl franchise, and Ill show you playoff apperances. people love to rag on browns and jags, but they combined have more playoff apperances over last 10 years than pittsburgh pirates and golden state warriors combined. NFL is still king of parity among the leagues in question.

shrinking the pool size, limiting it to the last 6 years to make the point about parity is what i'm talking about....you actually made it smaller by saying 5 years instead of 6...

that's still making the playoffs...no matter the record, did they make it or not?...

ok, i was mistaken about them keeping most of that team....i have no problem admitting i was wrong about that...

so cause you miss the playoffs once, means you not contending for the playoffs over a period of time?...come on man....no, that's not the parity the nfl is selling..they trying to make it seem everyone has a chance every year to make the playoffs, and win the super bowl, when that's not the case....hold up, when were the 49ers shytty? same goes for the broncos?...the hawks, i'll give you that....although they have been building the foundation (peds help, but that's another topic)....

you do know it's harder to make the playoffs in baseball right?....also, you'd also be incorrect comparing appearances...the browns havent made the playoffs in the last 10 years, and the jags have made it twice....the pirates made it last year and the warriors have made it twice...that's 3-2...

:what:
so how many years you want ? you know what, you can give me any timeslice you like, fukk it, it still would be more different teams than MLB or NBA.

everyone has a chance to make the offs. thats true. all teams out of nfc has made the offs at least once in last 10 years I believe.

....hold up, when were the 49ers shytty?
:wtf: do you even follow football breh ? niners were shytty 2004-2010

same goes for the broncos?
06-10

ha you right, keep thinking browns made it but it was off one year. yea I was wrong, but that doesnt change the point. thats the shyttiest teams that always in the basement in the NFL, incomparable to NBA or MLB droughts.
I been a warriors fan all my life, I had to wait 13 years to see a playoffs appearance. in a conference where EIGHT teams make the offs. not 6, EIGHT.

i'm just going off all the history, but that's whatever...

disagree....as much as i dislike giving the league any credit cause of how it's run, the best parity in professional sports belongs to hockey...

yea, i follow football, not a niners fan...just looked them up, yea, they were shytty then lol...didnt know they fell off that far...

bronocs, not so much...between the years you listed, they only had 1 shytty year, and that was 2010 when they went 4-12...they were around .500 the other years...

think you cant really compare it to baseball cause that shyt is tough to make the playoffs....as for bball, think you can compare....teams might make the playoffs, but that doesnt mean they got a legit shot at the ring...it's the same in football...yea, more teams mightve made the playoffs more frequently, but a lot of those teams dont have legit shots at the ring...and that's the parity the league tries to sell....

as for why teams dont make the offs, that falls on the owners....if the owners dont give a damn, the team not gonna go no where...

we'll just have to agree to disagree breh
I feel like NFL is easily the most parity-filled league. due to salary cap (compared to baseball) and not such dependance on individual players (like nba, where lebron team is likely to go to finals at least)

Baltimore Ravens would like a word with you. They sneaked in the playoffs and into the title game and won it. They weren't close to being the top team that year.

Didn't they start out like 7-1 or something like that? They were also coming off a AFC Title game loss(if not for a great play by the Pats corner they'd have won). They weren't THE top team but they were A top team.
