Oppenheimer making almost a billion dollars is one of the funniest things that's ever happened in the history of film. i get it though, it "HAD" to be seen on the big screen, otherwise you'd be staring at your phone or watching it in 3 segments shifts at home.

The study revealed that there’s an average of 1,864 colonies of bacteria on a single cinema seat. Comparing this to the average toilet seat, which they found around 135 colonies on average.

Interestingly, they found that the average cinema cupholder contains even more germs than the seats. Around 2,396 colonies of bacteria live in one single cupholder on average.

“Obviously, the cleanliness of the seats will vary across different cinemas, not to mention seat styles and fabrics,” they said. “We won’t name names, but the dirtiest cinema seat we tested had around 3,000 colonies of bacteria living on it,”

Factor that in along with the number of unseen pests that are most likely roaming those same auditoriums and I can’t blame VOD Gang at all for wanting to catch those theatrical releases at home instead. I love going to the theaters, but yeah, this is an issue.:francis:

Everybody seems to be getting a biopic these days, for better or worse. Saw a set pic of Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan the other day. Bro looked like one of them newspaper boys back in the 1920s runnin’ the streets and yelling out “Extra, extra! Read all about it!”

The fukkin’ audacity to let Sam Mendes helm four separate Beatles films. :mjlol: Dude is one of my favorite directors, but this comes across as ”doing too much”. I bet they’ll end up combined as a one-off on Apple TV+ or something.

Noticed this too. It’s a night and day difference compared to this past December when there was next to no advertising during its theatrical window. There wasn't really much of a campaign for it from A24, which didn't do the project any favors for the box office as well as when it came down to recognition once awards season hit.
