Theon's done on these Westerosi streets. Doesn't have it in him to be a eunuch and still catch bodies like Varys. Even if he somehow manages to escape Ramsay he'll just hunt him down like last time. He's gotta find a way to one himself.
All I know is they can't continue to torture him in the 4th season without it getting excessive so I think they'll have a time lapse and write him into later episodes.

Nah. He was a prisoner of the Starks. Theon is probably the biggest gray-area for morality/loyalty/honor in the entire series. If you were really to sit down and just study the characters you could make an argument that he deserves more sympathy than virtually anyone other than Bran. A brief glance over his character shows him as a villain, but it is much much deeper than that. Jaimie Lannister is the same way.
