ME: For that reason alone the Knicks are considered the bums of the NBA: the delusional New York mentality.
It is a fact that New York basketball fans are delusional. It's a fact that they still act as if they have a top contender on their hands, they call their arena 'the mecca of basketball'. But they don't realize that it's the mecca now because of performances of NON-NEW YORK players. This is a fact.
ME: Greatest city in the world! Uhm, no. Get on a plane, do some traveling. It's a dope city, but 'greatest city in the world' no no no no.. no. ONLY to New Yorkers is living in a ridiculously overpriced city with people who have the emotional development of a toddler, who namedrop every other sentence, and where a truly shallow muffukker is considered 'deep' great.
This is a 100% fact. When you're in New York and you meet up with someone or you're talking to someone, within 15 minutes they'll namedrop someone. 'I'm late because my friend who is the Executive Producer of this show at MTV was keeping me waiting bro sorry' 'hey we're gonna hit this party and my boy who does security for Ja Rule can get us in'. The city IS ridiculously overpriced. 2 G's for a tiny apartment with crackheads downstairs every night.. People in NY have huge issues building meaningful relationships, especially love relationships. This is a FACT, that's not an opinion.
ME: New Yorker is dope, it's great to visit - but like you said, philly supports even old legends, New Yorkers ALWAYS wanna front: lil nikkas in the club paying drinks for 10 whores at a table to act like they got pull. Classic NY shyt. A real nikka would NEVER do that. Sure he'd pay for drinks for his squad, but this fake fronting - these whores are only there for 1 reason: the free drinks and attention from OTHER nikkas. Classic NYC shyt.
New York IS dope. When you go there there are 1,000 things to do at all times, great food, beautiful city, great views, unique atmosphere. But it's also a fact that in other cities people who put in work for the culture get respect, even years later. In NY everybody has to front and act like they're too good to dap up anybody or give props to anybody. This dumb ass competitive crab in a barrel mentality breeds some dumb competition and pride that brings nothing but bullshyt drama. And we ALL know that nikkas in NY in the club are paying for the chicks at their table on some simp shyt. This is a fact. We can discuss this for hours - but the dudes you look at like 'man I wish I was in VIP with these hoez' are paying for these hoez. That's called being a trick breh. And that's what you look up to. Pathetic.
ME: The Knicks will never be like the Sixers and if you think about it, that's nuts. The Sixers were absolute bums for years, but the Knicks have been bums for decades now...
