Ohio pastor charged for housing the homeless

Nah I don't blame the refugees. I just meant that it's crazy in US a pastor is getting charged for this, but thankfully it did not happen in Canada.

This is that 3D world mentality of people giving a fukk about material space and not thinking with the heart in providing shelter to those that need it.

The universe will reward him though with his positive energy to look after others and blessings from for god.

During COVID a young skilled breh in my city (Toronto)started giving people in tent cities tiny homes built to withstand cold better. After he got hundreds of thousands in donations the city went after him for safety regulations. Saying he was exposing people to danger like fire by not having fire proofed his build.

These homes were basically boxes big enough to sleep in warmly. They put a major case on him and made him a memory.

A city is a business ran on tax money. From property taxes to everything else they draw income from within their borders. When people start going outside the program and living without feeding the system. The system reacts fast. How dare you not pay into the system and try to live.

Our modern lives and really western life has been in this mode since they had peasants growing food on land they couldn't own for their lords. This civilization does not appreciate or encourage people to escape the system. We can say we want to take care of the needy but you see that isn't the case. If you fail to support the system of capitalism you are undesirable. They help begrudgingly. Money is god

Nothing else exhibits the fail of religion better than those type of Christians. One of my co-workers invited some refugees she was familiar with to her Christmas family dinner and her family uninvited her. So she hosted the refugees on her own. But if you asked them they would all claim to be godly righteous people. So many Christians just keep up appearances. The point and the message is completely lost on them.

He'd have to get approval from the Local/Municipal Gov't to operate a shelter and, unfortunately, most of them are NIMBY. Even with laws set-in-place for this type of thing, Local Governments are good for blocking it with paperwork, permits, procedures, etc.​

I just saw on the news yesterday homeless in Mississauga living in tents and its like -10 outside. Shelters are packed and no more room, no one in this city should be on the street in these type of weathers.

this story makes me think Joel Osteen may have just had a group of lawyers telling him to keep his church closed. This story helps his reputation if anything.

Humans are incentivized by greed more than equality. We should not have billionaires at all but we do. And poor people fight to keep them there because they all want to believe they have a shot at being them so they live vicariously through them envy and aspire to replace them. We would rather hold on to that dream than be equal.

These are the same poor people who think socialism, communism are the same thing and it's all some type of evil that infringes on their right to eat as much as they can make.
