Almost makes me feel Barry should have been given Best Director.
I said he should've but wasn't mad at Damian getting it either. Figured they would split with one getting best director and the other getting best picture
In terms of 'Moonlight', fukk 'La La Land', on its own it's an enjoyable, minor movie, and a masterpiece of direction and acting, style. In contention with 'Moonlight', it's shallow, sentimental sap.

Just saw this on blu-ray. Great movie. There's a good special feature on the disc with interviews that makes some stuff resonate a little more.
