agreed.
these is where cacs become disingenuous over MLK's message and legacy. MLK was about to toss that peaceful marching shyt in the bushes and fight for reparations instead--which is why he was killed. now tell me, would cacs march for blacks to get reparations?
There's no evidence to support he was really going to say fukk peaceful marching. Even if it were true, even if it were true, he accomplished more through peaceful means and I hate to say it, through his death than violence could have ever did. I am of the mindset that only violence and finances can cause meaningful change nowadays. Thats 2016. But in MLK's date, peaceful protest and the benefits of others' sympathies was absolutely necessary. Malcolm's methods prior to his post Mecca views, wouldnt have benefited us considering the times. Its noteworthy that he was killed afterwards when he expressed interest in forming aliances with groups and ethnicities outside of Black Muslims. Notice the common thread? Malcolm killed after softening his tone towards non Black and non Muslims. MLK killed after gaining the sympathies of non Black, and non Southern people throughout America. That was then.
Regarding whites marching for Blacks and reperations......we're not at the crossroads where that question is on the four street signs. I dont know. You dont know. Nobody knows. What I do know is, we haven't eached that point in time where that question is even relevant. We may never reach that point. That said, whats humane and relatively principled enough to settle for if it becomes obvious that reperations arent going to happen? Regardless of that question, it should go without saying that the petty slights on whites showing solidarity DOES NOT aid our cause. Even if it is a PAWG. Or an actress, model, white chick down the street. The system fears solidarity, just like nationalists of any race or ethnicity fear dilution. I dont care for dilution in the form of objectives, but its silly to discard solidarity and support from, "others."
