So basically he used the term 12 years ago and no one gave a fukk, but y'all gonna fake outrage about it now? :francis:

naw, it shows the opposite....it shows what he really intended/meant with his posse comment this week....and like people have been saying: he was trying to say some slick shyt, but bron & co not letting him get away with it....even though they didnt need it, this makes them look justified for reacting the way they have....

There's nothing slick about it. It's not racist. It's disrespectful as fukk though and even here it's disrespectful as fukk, not because of any racist shyt, but because he basically refers to Lebron's partners as his errand boys. That's disrespectful as fukk, but there's nothing racist about it(at least in my opinion).

can we talk about how wrong his characterization of LeBron was though

Ya Phil is a prick. Has always been a prick. Was completely wrong about Lebron and he couldn't coach a young Kobe. He's just bad with younger players.

Lebron James is one of the most mature, self sufficient players in the NBA. And one of the most successful athletes off the court in terms of his business acumen and brand building.

Phil was totally wrong in that book.

No need to use logic here. Folks only seem to care about racism in select situations.

that makes no sense...if it was disrespectful (like you said), how wasnt it slick talk?...when people try to talk slick, they are trying to get away with some disrespectful, non complimentary, etc. type shyt....which is what phil did with his posse comment this week....and i'm sure he thought no one would catch it and/or say anything about it cause he's 'the zen master'....and while i think there was some racial undertone to it, that's besides the point....the point is: it was disrespectful as fukk (like you said), bron and co felt so, and are voicing their displeasure from said comments....

like i said: even though they didnt need justification, this quote does just that...it provides proof that they are correct in reacting the way they are....phil was trying to be slick with the fukk shyt, and bron and them said 'naw, fukk you'.....
