Raptors are really pretender status.

The only reason they made they playoffs is because they played in the weakest division in the league, and they took a lot of wins in the first half of the season when the teams werent ready to seriously compete yet. They had a horrible 2nd half of season, when the intensity rose and contenders began to take their game at a much higher level.

They peaked in october-january. Mediocre team. How come a nikka like Paul Pierce managed to have a stellar performance against them ?

Bad first game. Lou/Lowry/Vasquez lineups don't need to be on the floor. Play James Johnson. Consider using Hayes against Nene. Game 2 we should get more from at least 1 or 2 of our guards. This team can win on the road so the series is far from over but that was a bad start.

JJ is a really good defender and the whole purpose of him being brought in was to have some one to D up guys like Pierce and Joe Johnson, who killed them in the playoffs last year

He definitely has talent, he's 6'9 240ish and athletic enough to cover the 2-4 spot.

He's had supposed "attitude issues", has next to no J and seems to like to go outside of the scheme on offense and defense,and I'd guess that's why he hasn't found a permanent home or a long term contract. But the fact is he can really guard ppl, and he's better on D than Derozan, Ross or Vasquez, so that's why you see ppl clamoring for him to play when someone like Pierce is killing us.

Its not like he's some end of the bench guy, he's been in the rotation all year and played well and he played well for Memphis before coming back to TO.
