Hmm I need to hear the Derrick Demitry song in better quality. But he sounds good. Was he a signed singer? Why did they give the song to Montell Jordan to release?

Managed to find a better version, although I think it is a vinyl rip but his voice is perfect for the song, much better than Montell Jordan's version.
Derrick Dimitry wrote it in either '97 or '98 and it went into a song bank that Montell Jordan bought it from, really common as Mary J. Blige and other bought songs in the past from there
