This is something that's always ignored.

Most of these folks live in areas that are pretty much Black business (Or at least, a business that has no choice but to answer and oblige to the federal government when it comes to nipping discrimination practice in the bud and submitting to racial diversity quotas) deserts.

Add in the fact that a lot of folks don't have reliable transportation or the proper pay check to be able to patronize a more upscale, if you will, business and Black business that's more likely in the suburbs/nicer parts of town and then you have the main reason why folks continue to shop where they are at.

It's sad but, on the same token, one can't expect folks to go without necessities all in the name of "taking you dollar elsewhere' when they literally have nowhere else to take their dollar.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder what our communities would be like now if the big time drug dealers back in the day (when the game was hot) went into the communities and just built em' up with their own Black dollars. Granted, it would be drug money but damn, it would have been put to something good. Think about it, them top Black dealers couldn't be fukked with even by the alphabet boys at times. It's like we had prime choice, five star steak to get done what we had to get done at the time.

But oh well, I guess some choose to floss only instead of brushing and rinsing as well.

I'm not buying this. When it comes to buying J's, putting a down payment on a foreign car, flexing on friday-saturday night, spending $ on hair/nails/feet etc., play station, HD TV's, every Sunday with Pastor Chicken Wing & the Cesare Borgia fairy tales or any other type of nikka trinkets. We go wayyyy up in our pockets for all the bullshyt. We spend a trillion dollars annually on consumer items (bullshyt).

Yet when it comes to putting an extra $5 of gas in our tank to spend money at a black business all of a sudden nikkas don't got it? Our biggest problem is our lack of discipline. There's plenty of black businesses out here and plenty of IG accounts, websites, connects etc. There's really no excuse now and unless we want to be completely gentrified we better make some moves and OWN land.

Whats deemed "cool" today must be shunned. Instead of ignorance, materialism, and criminal/destructive behavior being glorified and promoted, we need education, production, intelligence, and unity to become the new "cool". We need being black to be cool. We need supporting black institutions and businesses to be cool. It baffles me how angry ppl get when "mentality" is brought up.
