I checked the legislation that Rand Paul has sponsored/co-sponsored and nothing about sentencing was on the list (he did propose a Federal Prison Accountability bill that never got to a vote): http://www.thepoliticalguide.com/Profiles/Senate/Kentucky/Rand_Paul/Bills/112/
So while it's disappointing he hasn't tried to push any legislation through on this subject I do give him props for speaking out and will stay cautiously optimistic that Paul will attempt to put some action behind his words in the near future.

I think it is a good thing that a sizeable number of Republicans finally seem to be waking up to the war on drugs and some forms of prison reform (even if it is pretty much pandering because of it becoming increasingly very unpopular)
unfortunately I don't see enough support within either the GOP or Dems to break up the BS completely in the so called war especially since the GOP is still largely running on a moralist agenda platform.

88m3's political analysis doesnt go beyond democrats good, republicans bad, if you try to explain anything more complex than that its gonna go over his head

You have nothing to add to the topic as usual.

Probably when he gave testimony before Congress, which you'd know if you'd even bothered reading the OP. :mjlol:

Which equates to nothing.

Where are the sponsored bills? Where are the promises to his constituents?
