prosper any where on earth
The reason rap have no stars is due to viral chasing and same content systematic themes
such as, rapping to a mic outside or doing some fake industry plant growth hype illusion.

The main factor too is that, there are no more black ran labels like a Q.C./Rocafella/Bad Boy/Cash Money/No Limit//Rap a lot/Ruff Ryders/LA FACE/

types, that had home grown artist.

The majors never created MAJOR IMPACTFUL STARS

even Michael Jackson is a product of a black ran label

The industry rarely created super impactful artist like that unless they were coming out from a black ran system.

When I look at young rappers, I don't see people who really love Hip-Hop: they are there for the fame, the fast money and because being a rapper is 'lit'.
They're there because they don't wanna work and being a rapper has devolved into drug fueled mumbling and no real lyrical skill or song structure.
