Toronto is the best city in the western hemisphere.
If you make the Finals, I think it's worth it, because the team as is isn't going anywhere. Plus who knows, maybe KD or Steph gets hurt and you have a shot to win. Injuries do happen.
If they can keep most of the team intact and add Kawhi, it's something you have to seriously consider
Why would Spurs give up a 1st....this makes zero sense

lol at ship his ass to Toronto like it's some type of Siberian prisonif i were Spurs, I would ship his ass to Canada. Piss him off
Toronto or Utah
Not a bad move for Toronto.
1 year rental of Kawhi, see how far it goes, and you've already freed up $30mm in cap space for the tank if he decides to go elsewhere.
DeRozan's contract has 3 years left on it, so you get out of that 2 years early.
Ibaka's contract has 2 years left - so in the '19-'20 season, he's an expiring...
And Lowry's also has 2 years left...another monster expiring.
Teams will probably do all sorts of dumb shyt next offseason and will be in the midst of cap hell again by mid 2019...perfect time to trade those expiring contracts for picks and bad players
Get the tank rolling in earnest in '19-20 and there's a chance for a full recovery by 2023
Do it Masai
Toronto is not a free agent destination and they are forced to draft and develop their players.
Im sure the Raptors FO is aware of this..so why would you trade OG and Derozen for a guy that would stay for a year?
Only way it works for Raps is if Spurs add multiple picks.
Having cap room is null if you cant get Free Agents
