For day 183 of our series the coli felt the former overhyped anime Plunderer with a slightly above average score of 7.82 putting it in the mid tier of our illustrious rate this anime list. As we return from our year and a half hiatus hopefully the future animes do better.

On to day 184

I read the manga and really wasn't as hype about it as alot of people were. Kind of goes over to the show as well it was alright didn't enjoy it as much as other shows that came out during the season.

Mixed, I enjoyed it, but I felt it didn't live up to the hype it was getting. However, the story did get more interesting as it went on, and feel it's too early to rate it. Anyways, the first season was a B+ for me, and I assume story gets better from here .

I give it an 8. Read the manga as it was coming out, and I knew those first 27 chapters were gonna make it or break it as far as how viewership was gonna receive it.

also knocking off a preemptive point for how I know it ends. As a whole, the series is like a really great cheeseburger with some moldy buns.

I will say it's very VERY faithful to the manga and they nailed the characterizations so far. I saw someone mention that folks in japan was complaining about the art, but, uhh.... chainsawman isn't a story that should be paired with ultra flashy dynamic art like JJK or Demon Slayer.

Be happy they didn't take a steaming watery shyt on it like they did The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer

I might just be partial because I really like Denji
I hope the studio doesn’t cave in to the dummies trying to get the Director out the paint

This anime got me back into watching it and reading manga
Had a good 7 year gap of putting anime/manga on the back burner
I know it maybe hype for most but this shyt made me like both genres again

CSM was good for what it aimed to be - a violent battle shounen with off the walls fukkery, amoral characters who could care less about heroism but at the same time are somehow japans best hope at fighting against the devils. This conflict of interest is the source of a lot of comedy throughout.

but the story is a bit shallow compared to other acclaimed battle shounen, and in particular does it lack the compelling characters that you expect from the genre. You can argue this is by design as its trying to divert from the formula in this way, but Idk if that makes it any "better" so much as it's just "different".

There's a lot of complaints about the animation and all that. No it doesn't represent the manga's unique style well but idk if anyone could have translated that to animation. Its still a well animated show and MAPPA generall did great work here.

It's just S1 and I have read the manga, so I know things are only going up from here. For now it's like a 7.

it really doesn't as the best parts may as well be filler
