It's a great series because, although it's about HBCU students...much of the info and stats ring true for Black students in general.
The current story about the writer's strike in Hollywood reminds me of a hitpiece article that made the rounds in a few sub-forums here years ago. The gist of it was asking "Why aren't there more Black writers (tv and film) from lower middle, working poor, and poor family backgrounds?
Now, I'm guessing that many people can put together a few reasons in their heads, especially in a thread about college costs, return on investment, and consistent and trending well paying industries.
Hitpiece writer avoided all the obvious factors and wrote a lot of nonsense.
