Raw vs Smackdown: Battle of the Brands Week 1 (7/25 - 7/31)

After watching both shows, I wanted to know the TSC's general opinion of the WWE's main two product. I will try to make this a weekly thing if it hits off, with the finale at WrestleMania 33. I'm counting this as the first official week since last week was the draft, so let's recap this week so far in wrestling:

Monday Night Raw:

• Finn Bálor defeated Cesaro, Rusev & Kevin Owens in a Fatal 4-Way Match (20:27)

• Nia Jax defeated Britt Baker (1:20)

• Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus, Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn in a Fatal 4-Way Match (17:14)

• Neville defeated Curtis Axel (3:43)

• Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte (c) (w/ Dana Brooke) by submission to win the WWE Women's Championship (16:52)

• Braun Strowman defeated James Ellsworth (1:09)

• Big Cass & Enzo Amore defeated The Shining Stars (Primo & Epico) (1:54)

• Finn Bálor defeated Roman Reigns to be the #1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship (13:52)

SmackDown LIVE:

• Apollo Crews won a 14 man Battle Royal to be the 6th entrant in the 6-pack challenge (12:42)

• Becky Lynch defeated Natalya by submission (10:21)

• Randy Orton defeated The Miz (w/ Maryse) (4:54)

• Dolph Ziggler defeated John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, A.J. Styles & Apollo Crews in a 6-pack challenge to face Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship (16:05)

So who had the better show this week? Raw or SmackDown?

Smackdown won, they did what RAW should've done. Smackdown helped establish the top guys, plant seeds for the future etc. RAW had better matches but the quality is not going to be like that weekly.

Roman getting pinned by Finn Baller puts RAW 1 notch above though IMO

Also Romans nice ass beard is somewhat interesting.

Dolph winning was dope to me so I gotta give SD some credit for rewarding the hard work, also Shelton BIKE!!!

Overall salute to the E for really trying to put out some good shyt, we'll see where goes though...

Seeing Dolph win killed all their momentum

Dude has been given so many chances. He made this brand feel like Smackdown 2013

Either it should have been Apollo or Bray. Two new guys who need elevated to the title picture
