Realgm is saying they're trying to flip the big three into the big four with Melo and Lowry replacing Bosh.
if this is really the case, I wonder if that's why Bosh hasn't opted out yet. I doubt this is true tho.

Bosh isn't going anywhere :rudy: Let's say that the Heat did WANT to switch out Bosh....WHY in the world would he help them out by signing with Toronto :mjlol: If Bosh got wind that they planned on trying that, he'd just become a free agent and move on to another team or opt in and collect his 20 million

He's getting there but I think he was just banged up. He has a few more good years left in him.

Here is a list of free agent bigs that are out there. They haven't updated it since the end of the season.

Personally I don't think we need a big name, just quality, young talent.

Greg Oden i think is going to be coming back. He also might have a some what bigger role on the team. He will have a year under his belt of NBA play + conditioning too. I honestly think he could be our Rashard Lewis of next years team.
From that list here is players i wouldnt mind us going after.

Pau Gasol(would be my top big for us)
DeJuan Blair
Glenn Davis :ehh:
Trevor Booker :ehh:
Emeka Okafor(if he checks out heath wise)
Kris Humphries

What do you guys think of that list bruhs?

I think there are big men that would be great CHEAP pickups. Jason Smith is a young 7 ft center that can shoot from midrange and defend. I think he could start and play 25-28 mpg. And I don't think it would take more than $2-3 mil per to get him. That also allows Bosh to slide to the 4 for at least half the game. Edit: I forgot to mention his knee surgery. All of this is subject to him checking out physically.

I also think Anthony Tolliver could be a cheap alternative (he's a vet minimum guy already) to Channing Frye or anyone else as a stretch 4. He shot 41% from 3 last year. Jason Smith + Bird could be a good rotation at center. I like Okafor if healthy, but who knows if he'll take the vet minimum.

I'd take Pau, but not for more than $5 mil per max. There's too many other ways to spread the $ around than that. I'd welcome Humphries at the vet minimum, but who knows if he'll take that. I don't want Big Baby or Trevor Booker.

I like Kyle Lowry as long as the cap space is used to get Lowry + 1 other quality player. Then they can get another player with the mini mid level, and find quality vets at the minimum after that. A lot of issues would go away if Ray came back. Then they'd only need a backup SF like Marvin Williams, Caron Butler, Shawn Marion, or Chris Douglas Roberts, and the aforementioned big men.

Jason Smith wouldnt be bad. But what are the chances that the Pelicans try to keep him? Also on the Toliver part, i think i might pass on him. Channing Frye wouldnt be bad but he opted out of a big deal with the Suns. So that might mean he is looking to get paid.

Pau i agree 5 mil per is my max as well. But i think he would be a very good big for us. Why dont you want Bookers or Big Baby? I thought Booker was very good with the Wiz last year & Big Baby has always been a dirty work guy. Which we could use. Out of those SF i would take Marion. Marvin is waaay to inconsistent, Butler had his chance & didnt want to come.

The Pelicans just got Asik. And on the bench they have Jeff Withey and Alex Ajinca. I think that means Jason Smith is done in N.O. I don't like Big Baby because he's a black hole offensively and he tries to post up too much. I think finding a starter level Center negates the need for a rebounding PF. And I think Trevor Booker is going to command too much $. He's hitting free agency for the first time.

I like Tolliver because he's cheap and the only other stretch 4 they can afford is Rashard. I mentioned Channing Frye because an article had him on a short list of players the Heat are looking into. Marvin Williams, Okafor, and Shawn Marion were on the list too.

I think Pau will get higher offers and I'm not sure the team would even have $5 million to offer him if Lowry gets $8+ million first year.

I'd be VERY happy if the team got a healthy starting Center so Bosh wouldn't have to play the 5 anymore. I don't care if it's Oden, Jason Smith, Emeka Okafor, Chris Kaman, or Jermaine O'Neal. Anyone that can start, be big, and let Bosh play the 4.

Damn i forgot they just traded for Asik. :snoop: Damn the Pelicans have a gang of bigs. If thats the case i wouldnt mind Jason Smith at all. Always been a fan of his play. He also has a jumper. So he isnt just always clogging up the paint. Also plays with a attitude which is good. I think Big Baby would work here tho with the P&R Pick & pop game imo. Honestly how much do you think Booker will make tho? I mean he just had his first good season. But then again it just takes one team to over pay.

I think i rather try to find some else besides Toliver dude is old. If Frye is willing to take less? then yea i wouldnt mind us signing him. But i think he is looking to cash is in. Okafor if healthy wouldnt be bad at all. But i just dont want to sign him for him to be Greg Oden all over again. Just riding the bench. Marion is one of my top picks for us at SF. Savvy vet that can still get after it on defense & ok rebounder. Would help take some pressure off of Bron having to always switching back & forth defensively like he had to do in the finals.

told yall Bucher was a fukking clown

I think he's a clown but at the same time I don't think he made any of it up. He probably got shady info from Lowry's agent or someone close in order to drive up price. That would be my guess. Bucher's dumbass probably didn't wait one second to verify it with a second source.

It's be first or die in that field.

But bu bu Wade is going to opt in because he cant get that type of money no where else. Bosh is going to go somewhere else because he wants to be the guy again.

Yall thought this run was over?
