The Wizards been following this :unimpressed: but DC ain’t a small market

DC is a big small market :skip:

Since Baltimore and southern VA don’t got no teams that expands the regional reach of the team. But the Wiz problem is and always has been weak ownership/front office. I can understand some of the other small cities, but DC is an international hub and a cosmopolitan area no excuses. :ehh:

I know that, but he could be "playing it the right way" by taking the guaranteed contract and figuring things out later if the team doesn't advance.
Possibly but Jokic doesn’t seem like that kind of dude. All he’s ever said is that he wants to stay with one team his whole career.

But who knows, maybe a few early playoff exits could change his mind.

241 aint enough for what he does.

This is a win win for everybody. Unless injuries destroy his body if they ever have to trade Jokic and they should legit sell the team before they do that, they will be able to trade for damn near a whole team for him.

People keep missing the bigger picture. A superstar player these days would be a fool to turn down a supermax and leave money on the table as a team will give up the picks and assets regardless of your contract if they want you bad enough. It was the reason why Giannis was never going to leave Milwaukee and why Beal has been as loyal to Washington as he has.

Take the money and worry about the rest later.

These small market teams need to take note. Go for the talented foreign players and you’ll get a more sure fire shot at keeping a franchise player around.
:mjlol: Bucks lucked up drafting that Nigerian fakkit who is fascinated by milkshakes and corn dogs.

:mjlol: He’ll be playing in front of them Milwaukee cacs until he retires.

:mjlol: You know they love them God Bless America type of immigrants.
