Daredevil might be on the block next

:francis:

I never understood this first week numbers rule with shows, movies, or music. It's election season b. I don't really care or have time to focus on any netflix shyt right now. NCAA football takes up my entire saturday, NFL takes my Sunday and Monday. Basketball season just started. Work. Life.

Can the people just watch shyt when they want to?

Didnt they release them in like june and august? It was getting nice out and summer came, at least with me is I lost intrest because I didnt have the time. Then by the timefall came etc i had other shyt that was more recent to binge....this is why reg tv drops their shows in the fall, nothing really premieres in the summer months for a reason.
That shyt has nothing to do with it.

For one reg tv has nothing to do with streaming.

Also summer season has felt more packed than fall the last few years for cable/streaming with spring being the new fall.

Most of netflix big originals premiered in summer.

Narcos
Ozark
Oitnb etc

It really speaks more to the novelty of these superhero shows wearing off

Exactly. Not saying both shows didn't deserve to get the boot cause both of them were steaming piles of post mexican food truck shyt. but that's the benefit and joy of Netflix originals is that you don't have to watch them the week they drop cause it's going to be there when you get ready.
It's seasons of stuff like Narcos and Ozark and the new Making a Murderer I still haven't gotten to and not gonna really worry about getting to.

they should have never killed off cottonmouth halfway through season 1. took a lot of juice out the show.

i didn't watch season 2 till weeks later because season 1 didn't end on a high note.

That's one of the biggest problems with marvel villains. They get killed off after one season or movie, and don't save em for eventual team ups or crossovers.

I think marvel netflix has been suffering diminishing returns since DD season 1.
JJ is only still Around because it was the second show out; it wont make it past season 3 and Punisher wont make it past season 2.
I wouldn't be surprised if DD doesn't get another season either.

If any one of the shows should have been cancelled Iron Fist or Jessica Jones should have been it. Iron Fist season 1 was complete ass and chore to watch. JJ season 2 wasn't great and that's b/c the story & villain was ass.

Cancelling Luke Cage was BS. They messed up by making him look like a villain at the end of season 2. Give me DD season 4 & Punisher season 2 I'm good.

They were both too dark and serious.

I stopped watching myself and Danny Rand is my favorite super hero

I figured the only reason JJ had higher s2 numbers than LC and IF was because her season 2 debuted first. Not bc of race or gender, but the general downward trend of disinterest for the netflix-verse with each following installment.

Seems like Daredevil is falling victim to that too. I figure JJ s3 will have some terrible numbers as well
