I treat everyone with respect doesn't mean I have to hand over money.
Why aren't tips mandatory![]()
Question: what if the food and service was bad
Maybe Rob is a lying azz k@k that wants a handout and Shady and co was just sitting there waiting for their burgers that took 45mins, was overcooked with n1gger spelled in ketchup or some other condiment when he raised the bun.![]()
YOUR the one jumping to conclusions about the service/restaurant
I dont need to answer these questions, because I havent called out McCoy once in this thread
Tips aren't mandatory for many reasons, you shouldn't have to force someone to be considerate.
Look you're completely fine not tipping, you`ll just be looked at as a general douchebag. That's just how the court of public opinion works.
Someone is serving you, waiting on your commands/orders, it's only right to drop them a few bucks for that. Also, waiter jobs get paid less than minimum wage, so that's where it's fukked up not to tip
Im drawing no conclusions on the situationI haven't jumped to anyb conclusions regarding the restaurant/service. I'm making logical assumptions about Mccoy's perception of his experience. Never said it was justified, cuz i wouldn't know, but he clearly was sending a message in reaction to that experience.
You won't answer the questions cuz you know what the only logical conclusions point to...
So go to the labour board.
Not my problem waitors and waitresses would rather gamble and with the chance of tips than MMake a liveable wage
Im drawing no conclusions on the situation
Im shifting my disgust to all the people in here that seem to think stiffing bills is appropriate though
You don't see waiters posting celebrity receipts when its a normal tip, they only post them when they are either overly generous, or onerously cheap.
And lets dead the whole idea on how 'you don't believe in tipping' and you only tip 'if you feel like it'.
Its bigger than you. Eating out in America has an entire economic bubble that is built on the idea of tipping that is bigger than just an accepted social norm. The people waiting tables have taken the job for a very low salary with the explicit knowledge that tipping is how they will make the majority of their money, and willingly do so....... BECAUSE PEOPLE TIP!
If tipping was just a random 'when and if you feel like it' sort of idea, then the Federal Government would never allow companies to willing circumvent the minimum wage laws and pay their employees $2.13 an hour.
Now, there are a few states, I think like 4 or 5 our west, who have added in State laws to override the federal mandate and force their restaurants to pay full state minimum wage to service employees. In those cases where you know the server is at least making his 7- 8 bucks an hour, I could at least understand being a cheap b*stard. But everywhere else? Nah.
