Rick Ross arrested on assault and kidnapping charges

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. —

Rapper Rick Ross is in the Fayette County jail for the second time this month.

Ross, whose real name is William Roberts, was arrested overnight by the Metro Atlanta Fugitive Task Force on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault.

According to sources, Ross was having work done on the property he bought in Fayette County. Ross allegedly got into a fight with one of the workers and pistol whipped him.

Ross’ bodyguard was also arrested.

The two men are charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

They are being held in the Fayette County jail awaiting an initial appearance and a bond hearing.

Earlier this month, Ross was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge after being pulled over for his tinted windows.
