I want to get a screen protector hopefully this week. Gonna wait on getting another charger, looking at the wireless one. It sucks that my gear vr is obsolete now. It is an older version so not like it was gonna be relevant long. That plus any extra cables I had.
I never use screen protectors ...I got like 4 or 5 Black brick.chargers...two S8 Plus ones...Note 8...and the s9. Haven't taken any of the accessories out of the s9 box yet.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 but I still think the S6 & S7 look the best. Anything after S7 does not look appealing to me.
I would suggest dumping that phone and at least getting the S7. The S7 is basically the S6 with a much better battery life and expandable storage. I had the S6 and that phone could barely make it half a day before needing a recharge. I couldn't imagine how poor that battery is on a 3 year old device.

There's no good solution for screen protectors for curved screen phones. It's part of the reason I loathe how Samsung forced all their flagships to curved screens.

The Whitestone dome is probably the best but it's too expensive and still has problems. I've had my Note8 since launch last year and I don't have any scratches on the screen and never used a screen protector. 7ish months of use.

I dont understand how someone gets scratches on the screen. I just dont get it. Unless it's like a drunk or something.

you get scratches from drops and improper storage (putting a phone in your pocket with other stuff in it) one way I avoid that is either having a shirt with a front pocket on it or a t-shirt underneath with a front pocket and I only use that pocket for the phone. It is a bit goofy to put your phone in a t-shirt pocket under your actual shirt but it's kept my screen looking brand new when I don't have a pocket on my main shirt. I never put my phone in any pants pocket.

i can't justify spending 800+ on a phone, especially something over 6 month period that gets outdated.
