Considering they had bums on their team compared to the Showtime Lakers

Shaq is correct

Yeah was just about to say the Shaq-Kobe lakers were waaaay more top heavy than showtime, who just had flat out more talent top to bottom....James Worthy is a consensus top 50 all-time player in the history of the league... Just using ESPN'S list (no not saying they're the definitive authority or anything, but most easily googled lol) he's flanked with names like Paul Pierce, Nique and Bill Walton.... Take one of those four players in their prime and just throw them on the 3peat lakers as a thought exercise

that 2001 Squad that holds the playoff record...good god they were unstoppable. And they didn't have any 3rd player as good as James Worthy, Jamaal Wilkes or Byron Scott for that matter. If their egos didnt get in the way they could've won a few more. Maybe not the greatest duo ever but certainly the most dominant Laker duo ever.

Shaq loves to use that term 'most dominant' like it means something so he can cover up the fact that there's very few important categories that he was undeniably the best ever at. :francis:

Ill take Shaq and Kobe in a game of 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 5 on 5, hell, id even take them in mexican basketball game and do it 7 on 7

No other combination of two team-mates would be able to handle them.

Ok pippen "shuts down" Kobe, wtf is Jordan gonna do on Shaq and vice versa.

Throw Paul Pierce on the Shaq/Kobe Lakers and they implode even faster.

It's easy just to say "Add more talent, add more talent"... Kobe and Shaq didn't even want to play with one another, you're gonna add other players who can drop 30 too? :usure: There is this thing called chemistry in basketball, shyt ain't 2K.

SHOWTIME NEVER 3PEATED
AND THEY LOST 3 FINALS.

SHAQS LAKERS WERE MORE DOMINANT.

depends how you look at it

at the end of the day magic and kareem together won 4 titles

shaq and kobe won 3

the showtime lakers faced better opponents in the finals while shaq lakers had to deal with who...jason kidd? their main opponents were in the west. the showtime lakers would have more L's in the finals because the east was stronger back then

plus lakers dont deserve 2002 title as it was kings getting cheated by the refs. Had david stern stuttering in press conference explaining what happened

The most dominant duo ever wins more than 3 rings together.

He should have swallowed his pride as he got older and Kobe could have got him to 6 or maybe even 7 on the Lakers.
They only won 3 because they didn't stay together it ain't like they were prime contenders for a decade and only came up with 3, and they won those 3 back to back to back.

:stopitslime:He was the best ever at plenty of categories and I'm not just talking stat wise, he has a right to use the term "most dominant" it means alot people trying to dismiss it is an attempt to cover up the fact that he was unstoppable at his position. People can talk about stats all they want but no Center in history could hold Shaq down, he would've beasted on Wilt who was 60 pounds smaller and Kareem and Russell trying to guard him would be laughable dudes were toothpicks at 225 and 220 respectively (CENTERS weighing 225 and 220:huhldup:) Shaq had 100-105 pounds on them and on top of that Russell was only 6'10. He dropped near 40 against an arguably better defender in Duncan on a couple occasions who had more size than both of them, he's the GOAT Center for the simple reason no one could stop him and his own defense is underrated especially since no one least of all Kareem and Russell is backing his big ass down.:dame:
