We've circled back to the start of the argument because you have no answer. Most basketball players in the world aren't NBA caliber shooters. A few of those are in the league because they're good at other things. Tony Allen is one of those few.
This isn't a hard concept to grasp.
Making assumptions that these guys aren't trying to get better, or don't care, or don't practice, is incredibly insulting.
