what a terrible game

over 20 turnovers

curry/klay/green went 3-17 from 3

theres no way this happens again

warriors got this, played their worst and they barely won

we got this

:patrice:

Nope. The Grizzlies beat the Warriors and forced the Warriors to attack the rim instead of relying on threes and jump shots. Sure, it helps that the shots weren't falling for the Warriors but the defense perimeter defense was :ohlawd:. Tony Allen and Mike Conley were going IN on that Warriors backcourt and were forcing turnovers. Outside of Curry, no other Warrior can create his own offense. And that's what the Grizzlies took advantage of. Conley and Zach Randolph also gave the Warriors that business on the offensive end. :obama: Conley was hitting big shots and Z-Bo was being Z-Bo. Keep in mind, Gasol hasn't been playing his best on either side so there's another level to this Grizzlies team. It'll be interesting to see how the Warriors respond when Conley, Randolph, and Gasol are firing on all cylinders.

You acting like the Warriors' loss was mainly because of their big 3 going 3-17 from behind the arc shows your refusal to give credit to the Grizzlies. They employed a high-powered perimeter and interior defense that worked to perfection. They forced the Warriors to take tough shots and also forced them to play big boy ball. You live by the 3, you die by the 3 :yeshrug:.

Tuesday's game proved that the Grizzlies were simply the better team that night. Give credit where it's due; the Grizzlies had the Warriors' number.

Ok watching the game now again to prove this little dumb stat wrong. I think Tony Allen is the best defender in the NBA but he did NOT only allow 2 FG attempts all playoffs.
Anyway, 1st quarter 10:13 left, Warriors get possession, Allen points at Curry and begins to guard him. Curry dribbles the ball up and drains a 3 in Allen's face. 1 FG attempt

They never had open shots to begin with, breh....Tony Allen and Mike Conley were hounding them all game.

But you can keep underestimating the Grizzlies. I'm sure the Warriors aren't at this point, especially since the Grizzlies took the home court advantage.

It'll be fun watching the Warriors have to deal with the Grindhouse.

Ok I'm doing some other bball research while also rewatching this game 2.
So far
11:13 1st quarter Curry makes a long 2 (foot on the line)over Tony Allen

7:19 1st Allen is guarding Barnes, Gasol switches in Barnes because he loses Allen around a screen but he was still technically Allen's man. Barnes bricks an 8 footer

7:03 2nd if the previous Barnes shot counted as "guarded by Gasol". Here is an example where Allen switches on Draymond. Ball is kicked out to Green he fakes, letting Allen fly by him and than takes a few dribblea and gets blocked by Koufos, still a shot attempt that Allen should've been guarding.

4:03 2nd Klay goes around a screen with Allen on him and than takes an ugly one legged runner from about 22 feet.

So that's at least 3, may be 4 FG attempts against Allen. So far 1-4 so solid D but really Allen in more valuable as a weak side defender using his reach to disrupt ball movement and opposing execution. He is still a very good one on one defender but he did NOT "only allow 2 FG attempts all playoffs"
