This
our "July 4th" is June 18th the day slaves were free

frankly, even white people aren't "celebrating" anything. its just a day off from work to get drunkIt's really none of my business as I'm not even American but surely celebrating 4th July is basically celebrating white supremacy, no?

I just wanna eat food, holla at snow bunnies and get my dikk wet in some pink p*ssy
s/o to u fake pro blacks celebrating the oppressors day
u nikkas ain't shytThisnot guilty but just understand that it wasn't meant for us
how many fireworks yall heard & did yall smell barbecue on that day?
I think the bigger problem is that we're BLINDLY celebrating these holidays without doing research on the TRUE MEANING of these holidays. This isn't just black people but everybody else also. We've been told since birth to celebrate these days without really knowing the true events that unfolded. If black people did their research we wouldn't "celebrate" Thanksgiving either. I guarantee most people have no idea the true origins of Halloween but guess what, every year people dress up as monsters and go out for candy. They have no idea WHY they're doing it, its just that its been drilled into our heads since birth so we blindly do it.Black ppl aren't technically celebrating America's freedom tho. They're just using it as a day off from work to grill, pop bottles, and fellowship with friends and family. Nothing wrong with that. I doubt any black ppl are waving a flag and reflecting on America's freedom today. More like a party that we just decided to have on a day that also falls on America's birthday
Sadly, I don't think I even heard the word "juneteenth" before until last year when I started watching Dr. Boyce Watkins channelJuneteenth was our holidayhow many fireworks yall heard & did yall smell barbecue on that day?
