When/if one should intervene in an altercation is a gray area. I will say this though, it's usually a bad idea to get between two lovers.

In this case I think dude jumped the gun because the couple was just arguing. Plus you're near a club let security handle that drama. He also f*cked up by underestimating the boyfriend when it turned physical.

There was a thread a while back about a guy who got beaten to death with a baseball bat while witnesses stood by and called the cops. And I guess that's my biggest fear. I wouldn't want to witness someone get attacked, do nothing, and then find out later that person died when I could have prevented it. I wouldn't want to live with that on my conscience.

But at the same time you never know what the back story is. Somebody could be catching a beating because they raped someone's daughter and pops is retaliating.
