your dumb ass most probably never heard of this man..
He published several works on legal themes: Black Community on Trial (1976), Black England (1977), Barrister for the Defence (1985), and When Judges Conspire (1989). He was the first chairman of Lambeth Law Centre. He also wrote an eight-part drama series, Black Silk, which was broadcast in 1985 on BBC television.

Let me say something on behalf of all Indians: if we identify as Indian instead of black, you say we're the white man's monkey and we hate black people etc.

If we identify as black, you clown us and don't accept us as your brothers.

So what the hell are we supposed to do? I'm all for minority unity but it seems with the Coli militant folk, no matter what we do it's not good enough, whether that's seeking unity with black people or going our own way.

"Coli militants" are fukking stupid and ignorant of Black radicalism and the Black Power movement and Black internationalism...so ignore them...:francis:

If we wanna go on the colonial phenotype definition of Black...Tamil Indians are Black...

First human migrations were from Africa to India anyway...:yeshrug:

So @ThreeLetterAgency in the end is actually one of us?

The title doesnt make sense ..... you post organisations from the 1970s , but your title says "so indian are black people now?"

shouldnt it read "so indians were black people then?"

or are you being obtuse (deliberately stupid)

and for clarification back in the day according to whites if you werent white and your skin was dark then you were black, they obviously couldnt be bothered to differentiate between different racial groups

Sadly everyone's been "black" at one time or another in history :francis:

I swear we are the only race that gets piggybacked for other people's identity struggles. :russ:....:snoop:

All other non-whites look to us, and cling to the traditional black struggle and our narrative and jump on our ride when the going gets tough.

Back then, the term "Black" was used to define non-white people, just like the term "Moor" in the middle ages.

I understand linguistic-historical context. In previous centuries a long time ago -- black in English, such as the term Black Irish, meant a white person who had dark hair.

But in the 70's black had already become a connotation for African-descended people. :comeon:

Europeans have been aware of Indians for centuries and never called them black.
