They leaked the story about this, but the Russian troll farm story was uncovered way before this and the stories about them creating fake Facebook groups, fake Reddit accounts, Twitter bots and other things have been broken by several different news sources with no connection to CNN.

That part is undeniably true. Facebook themselves admitted to the ads and sourced it to Russia and even published a white paper about the service was used to spread propaganda about the elections here and in France.

About pokemon go being a psyops thing, why would the company tell people to just stop using the AR feature if they believe it? Defeats the purpose. Why even include it? But that's whole thing is besides the point
