This has inadvertently become an example of how the black American consumer is one of the most powerful influences on the planet in terms of tastemaking. This just started with a bunch of black folks roasting the shoes on Twitter, and has now made UnderArmor alter their shoe design strategy.

I read the other day that black folks in America are estimated to have over 1.2 trillion in spending power in 2017. If we have this much influence on a company as big as UA, just imagine the kind of power we could flex if we stopped bullshytting and began to live by a code with our Black Dollar. For example I can guarantee you Nike wouldn't have a damn Police Appreciation Day anymore.

... but I don't think Nike would care if people were going in on a shoe. Brand is too established and selection too varied. Now, as you were saying, if people went in on Nike about a cause and backed it by refusing to spend with Nike, then it would listen. But we know that probably wont happen.
