I think it all started with Nautica. His name is Lil Yachty and he started rocking all Nautica to push that image. Nautica flourished when they had the hip-hop demographic in the 90's so they offered him a deal. From there they saw his marketing power and he got more endorsements. He probably has great management. Say what you want about son but he's created an image.
