while this is 100% true what also has to be acknowledged is that a lot of those same forefathers or older rapper (krs1 and mostly east coast rappers...etc) spew nothing but hate towards the new generation and have been doing so for quite some time now, you see new and old both respect bun b and snoop dog cause they always showin love to any and everyone

That's a valid way of looking at it. On the other hand, the forefathers could look at the young cats as disrespectful for desecrating the art form they poured blood sweat and years into
