I hve no problem with a cop pushing someone back for getting in his face or beating their asses for spitting on him.

Call it what you want breh. But some of the sh!t i see happening with police brutality can be avoided.

The only time ive been asked to get out my car by a cop was because i had a bloody tshirt in the back seat from my friend that had a bloody nose at a basketball game. It was a black cop too. He looked inside the car to see if i didnt have any weapons and i was on my way. He didnt even give me the ticket he should have given me (i was doing 62 in a 35).

I know there are cases where cops are being a$$holes but situations like this can be avoided just by complying to a simple request from authority

The issue is that we're biologically built to be bigger, stronger, and faster than women. So no, women shouldn't deliberately provoke us but we also have to use more restraint :ld:

But we're mentally on the same level...right? :sas2:

So why do we have to take the higher ground? Why do we have to turn the other cheek? :sas1:

For you yes but the next man may see it differently. Provoke was not a good word for these situations. He should have been more specific because a lot of people can be "provoked" by the simplest things.
I'm not naive, ma. I know a lot of knuckleheads out there have no control over their emotions and beat up on women. I say call the cop and Let the system deal with those accordingly.

But im saying for those women who instigate the physical confrontation with a man, throw the first punch and then wanna call the cops after they get bruised up... Dont expect sympathy from me.

No we aren't mentally on the same level. Women are typically driven by emotion and men are not. Thats why men are asked/expected to walk away because they have a clearer head.

wheres the bait?

:why:

Allow a man to stay in your house even though he was not invited.

Allow a man to stay when you ask him why he's here and tell him he needs to leave.

Allow him to push you repeatedly while you ask him/tell him to keep his hands to himself.

Get your behind beat because you natural pushed back.

Yes, she provoked the entire situation.

Thank God I don't live the life they live in that video, but you best believe if a man put his hands on me, he's going to be in jail or eventually dead (I'll stab a mofo or shoot to kill like my daddy taught me...if he doesn't do it first).

As ive said a million times, we're absolutely a victim blaming society. When something bad befalls a person, we rush in to make their behavior and activities as being the root cause of their misfortune as a way to avoid tougher, broader conversations. To that point, of course we're going to look at a video of a huge football player knocking out his wife, dragging her lifeless body around like a rag doll, and conclude we need to turn the discussion to women "provoking" and antagonizing men.

@LovelyDay is right. Using the word provoking was ridiculously ambiguous, and can mean just about anything. Funny how provoking violence is so important now, but the fact that George Zimmerman completely stepped over the bounds of reasonable action, and provoked Trayvon into a confrontation, did the murder victim nada in the court of public opinion, and the actual trial itself.

Dont fall for Steven A's conservative okey doke. Black men use fists to stop problems; black men get killed and thrown under the jail. Steven A was addressing misogynist white men here, but I see black men around here find the women hating narrative too seductive to reject.
