It's about priorities. Some straight to DVD movie being overseen by some white people vs. white supremacy going HAM on black women and black children with no repercussions. Which one is the bigger issue here? That whole dark skin vs light skin women "conflict" is some juvenile nonsense. And the pathetic thing is that there will still be women lining up for these roles regardless.

But the roles specifically call for African American women... they are not "color neutral".
If they were doing a Bruce Lee bio pic, and the casting call called for Asians of a certain shape/hairstyle would you feel the same way?

I'll try to pull up some more casting calls to demonstrate how this is the norm across the board...
