Depends on the movie, a movie like Menace to Society did a good job of portraying a ambitontless young black man growing up in the hood, which is a reality for many young black men. The problem is when all of the roles available for young black actors are ambitontless young black man growing up in the hood or some variant on that. Just like it is a problem when the only roles available for dark skin black actresses are: sassy black woman, maid, or hoodbogger.

On second glance...black women should actually be happy about this....why?

Black women are qualified for every level of aesthetic on here....according to that tier system, the casting directors are willing to take A,B,C, or D level black women....

White, Asian, Latin, and Middle Eastern women have to be A-Level aesthetics...No where in the B, C, and D level tier descriptions are women of other races are encouraged to apply...

In otherwords...if a white, asian, latin or ME woman is not the "hottest of the hot"...then they need not apply....
